About us

Ashworth Mansions is made up of two blocks. Hidden between them is a delightful communal garden well stocked with mature trees, verdant lawns and outdoor furniture. Residents also make good use of the barbecue.

Ashworth Mansions Garden

The vast majority of flats are around 1000 square feet and have three bedrooms. A number have been remodelled to create a double reception room at the expense of one of the bedrooms. There are a few larger three bed and four bed flats of around 1400 sq ft. All flats have independent heating and hot water.

The estate is wired for BT, Sky and Hyperoptic fibre broadband.

Flats on the Grantully Road side, overlooking Paddington Recreation Ground, attract a small premium. In a normal year, only a handful of flats change hands; often between existing residents. So, if you’re offered one it’s good advice to move quickly.

Ashworth Mansions Ltd (AML) owns the freehold of the estate and is the landlord. Individual flats are held on long leases (mostly 125 years from 1983) from AML and most of the flats also carry a share in AML. The shareholders elect a board of directors, who are unpaid. This structure, allows us to run the estate in the interest of its lessees, rather than those of a commercial landlord.

There current board members are:

  • Renee Marais
  • Keith Williams
  • Pamela Yuzda

All directors live at Ashworth Mansions. We are always looking for new board members. Please get in touch with Board@ashworthmansions.com if you are able to help. You need to be able to commit to attending monthly board meetings and should be free to contribute to debate (normally by email) on a more regular basis.

Ashworth Mansions is managed, on behalf of AML, by a professional property manager, Kinleigh Folkard Hayward (kfh) to provide an environment which all residents can enjoy. We also enjoy the services of our caretaking team – David Thomas and Mustapha Betari.

How about making the first Saturday of each summer month a social lunch day for Ashworth in our garden? Bring your own food and drink. 12-2pm. Hope to have some good chat or banter. The summer parties we had a few years back were good.
